Value Added Advice

Three recent studies found that working with a financial professional can result in higher returns, potentially lower personal stress and producer better after-tax results. Having a plan for your retirement goals and a monthly income plan can reduce anxiety.

Why Invest?

Over half of Americans do not own any stocks, or stock-related investments, such as mutual funds, according to Bankrate’s Money Pulse survey.¹ Individuals may cite different reasons for not investing, but with important long-term financial goals, such as retirement, in the balance, the reasons may not be good enough.

Fiduciary

A fiduciary is a person or institution given the power to act on behalf of another in situations that require great trust, honesty and loyalty. Fiduciaries are hired to act in your best interest and must set aside personal motives and conflicts of interest in favor of pursuing the best outcome for your unique situation.

ABOUT US

Promontory Financial Planning is a Registered Investment Advisor.  Promontory was founded by Brock and Tyra Williamson.  They started their careers working in the financial services industry at Vanguard and SEI Investments while living in Pennsylvania. Once moving back west they noticed many families were being sold strategies with high commissions or long surrender periods. They found that many “advisors” in the area were really sales people with limited financial backgrounds employed by insurance companies or brokerage firms.  Many times fees and commissions played a bigger role in investment advice than the individual client’s needs.  This industry conflict along with a strong desire to help families make better financial decisions was the reason Promontory was created.  As an independent firm, Promontory can recommend strategies that are best for each client’s financial plan while keeping costs low. They work for their valued clients, not a specific Insurance or Investment company.  By informing and consulting rather than selling products, Promontory has grown in success working with families, medical professionals, business owners, and executives preparing for retirement.
